Bed & Breakfast SPOOR.62

Please get in! Once the legendary Pullman trains steamed along the Belgium village of Moere on their route between Ostend and Paris.

Nowadays, the station house of Moere is a stylish, boutique bed & breakfast tucked away in the Flemish countryside. Surrounded by historical and natural beauty, hostess Irma Schabon has crafted a unique environment combining tasteful architecture, design, rest and luxury.

Rooms

The old station houses two exclusive guest rooms: room .62 and room .63.

The old station

Irma and her husband Jos have a soft spot for architecture and contemporary design. In 1999 they purchased the defunct train station in Moere and hired architect Jacques Verbeke to convert the dilapidated edifice into their family home.

The surrounding area

Moere is a charming rural village situated in the flatlands on the outskirts of Gistel, a small town not far from Bruges. In the 1980’s, Marvin Gaye relocated to the idyllic village of Moere in a 19th century villa, suddenly making this little-known corner of the world internationally famous.

Bike/foot path

The decommissioned Oostend-Torhout railroad was recently converted to a 22km long bike/foot path across the flat countryside, called the “the Green 62”.

The hostess

The very special is Irma, the fantastic hostess. Her very friendly and attentive way, their tips and suggestions and especially her extraordinary breakfast are holiday highlights.

Irma’s breakfast

The breakfast at Spoor.62 takes you on a culinary trip through the region. Irma only serves the freshest ingredients, carefully selected and of the best quality: Callas jam, tomatoes and strawberries from the neighbours, eggs fresh from their own chicken coop, as well as fruit, walnuts and fresh herbs straight from the garden.

Pure, honest and seasonal cuisine in a relaxed homely
